We
are just two miles from the entrance to Custer State Park, less than
a mile from the Norbeck Scenic Byway, about 12 minutes drive to Mt.
Rushmore, located within Black Hills National Forest on a privately
owned 13 acres.
Good
restaurants are located in Keystone (5 mi.), Hill City (19 mi.) or
Hermosa (18 mi.).
We
are also near good fishing lakes. Lakota Lake is about 3 miles and
Center Lake is about 4 miles.
We
are very centrally located. It's only 30 minutes to Crazy Horse, 1
hour to Hot Springs and the southern hills, 1 hour to Deadwood and
the northern hills, an hour and a half to Wall and the entrance to
the Badlands.
Driving
Directions:
Follow
signs to Keystone, SD and Mt. Rushmore. It is easily found following
highway 16 south out of Rapid City. If you come in on Interstate 90,
you will see signs directing you toward Mt. Rushmore (just past
Keystone). Once in Keystone, turn east onto Highway 40 at the only
traffic signal in Keystone. Go approximately 2.5 miles (watch for
Buffalo Rock Lodge sign), turn right onto Playhouse Road. Go
approximately 3.7 miles. BRL is on the left, a large gray log structure. |
