Policies

Check-In / Check-Out Times and Location
Guests may check in at the Main Lodge (see Maps) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mountain Time. Check-out time is 11 a.m.

Nightly Rates and Fees
Lodge rooms start at $199/night. This rate includes a light breakfast with coffee, juice, fruit, pastries and yogurt.

Cabins start at $129/night. No meals are included, but each cabin has cookware, refrigerator and access to the grill in the pavilion.

Please note: All rates and fees are subject to sales tax.

Deposits
A deposit in the amount of 50% of room charges (excluding cleaning fees and taxes) is due at the time of reservation request. The balance (including any fees and taxes) is due upon arrival.

Cancellation
Reservations canceled at least 30 days prior to their check-in date are eligible for a 95% refund of the deposit. The remainder is withheld to cover our costs including credit card processing fees.

Please note: During the off-season months we may waive our policy for weather-related late cancellations.

Minimum Stay
The Black Hills are a travel destination that need several days to properly explore. For this reason, and for the sake of our housekeeping team, we require a two-night minimum stay.

Smoking
The lodge and cabins are smoke-free, but there are smoking areas outside.

Pets
Beginning in 2025, we no longer accept pets. Our own pets are not allowed in the lodge, but they do occasionally greet guests outside in common areas. (This can include cats, dogs and chickens.) Please call ahead if this is a problem.

Children
We welcome children aged 8 and above in the lodge. All ages are welcome in the cabins. Climbing on antique equipment displays is prohibited, and climbing on rock outcrops is strongly discouraged. We have a great playground area if your kids need to burn off energy.
